Into the Future
Is St Michael's Church important to you, and the village? Is its continued presence valued, for celebrating the great festivals, for regular or occasional worship and prayer, for baptisms, weddings and funerals? Would you like to find out more about its future?
For the last few months, we as a church have been having much discussion and prayer about the future of St Michael's. We want to increase our contribution to the life of Pirbright and the wider community. To do this with confidence, we must have a reliable income to cover our essential running costs. It may surprise you to learn that we have not been able to do this from our regular income in recent years, a situation that cannot continue.
We were very encouraged by the success of the lunch and presentation on 1 November, and certainly by the brilliant response. We have now begun to put some of our ideas and plans into effect - such as the popular Taizé services. Keep an eye open for more events! A short report with some photographs of the November presentation is now available on the website (see under "Diary").
