Toothless announces the Dragon Fair Toothless announces the Dragon Fair

Well-deserved winning dragon - St Michael and the Dragon

It’s here! After months of preparation the Village Dragon Fair has finally arrived! Tell your friends and neighbours, get ready to bring the whole family to join in the fun on 15th June.
The village green will be buzzing with a central arena showcasing music and dancing, a re-enactment of the dramatic tale of St George and the Dragon, thrilling
Chinese dragon dancing, adorable doggy agility displays and mighty tug of war contests, plus a marching band, the school choir and gospel choir all there to perform for you.
And there will be dragons! We already have a flight of your dragons booked in for the Big Day, dragons large and small, dragons made of car tyres and dragons made of card, stitched dragons, glued
dragons, growing dragons and edible dragons. Toothless, Puff, Smaug or Custard, whatever dragon you fancy, bring it down to the village green on the
morning of the dragon fair to join the dragon show!
And as if that wasn’t enough, there’s a petting zoo, donkey rides, traditional games and a children’s
obstacle course run by our military friends. The
ever popular vintage motor bikes are back and the sound of the traditional fairground organ will add a festive feel to the day. There really is something for the whole family, including the dog who can ’have a go’ on the dog agility course and enter the amazing dog show.
Around the arena colourful stalls will be selling all kinds of treats, delicious food, ice -creams and the famous Fulks’ sausage sizzle. To wash down your lunch take your pick from teas coffees & soft drinks in the village hall, a beer tent, Silent Pool Gin or
Pimms and Prosecco stalls. But leave room for a cream tea at the church as you browse the art and craft display there, take a dragon walk through the churchyard and pit your wits against Yellow Rabbit in the Dragon Quiz, all at the church.
Parking is in Church Lane, disabled parking in Avenue De Cagny. It all starts at 11am and the fun goes on until 5pm. For more information go to pirbrightchurch.org.uk or parish-council.com/pirbright or just search online for Pirbright Dragon Fair.
